Stan Darling Insurance Inc. offers peace of mind for your rental cottage get away
Cottage rentals have been growing in popularity over the last few years allowing property owners the ability to generate revenue from their vacation properties and still have the opportunity to enjoy them. Unfortunately the increased use of these properties by renters that are not as familiar with the property has led to an increase in cottage claims. The possibility of a tenant or one of their guests, being injured on your property and filing a law suit against you is a troubling concern and one you need to make sure your insurance will protect you against. This is one of the reasons why we have designed an insurance policy specifically designed for your rental cottage needs.
The policy automatically provides coverages for your cottage building, other structures on the property including boat houses, your personal contents and property liability. Lost rental income should your cottage become untenable due to an insured claim is also included in the package for up to 24 months.
Liability coverages can also be extended for watercraft up to 50 h.p. even if included with your rental cottage for tenant use. Our package provides discounts for properties that are mortgage free; multiple policies if you also insure your home and / or vehicle and a claims free renewal discount providing for a decrease of premiums for the first 5 years.
